When your child arrives with a sore throat, we swab the back of the throat, run the test on-site, and have accurate results in about 8–10 minutes. Positive results allow our board-certified pediatricians—Dr. David Sprayberry, Dr. Breana Miller, or Dr. Megan Redfern—to prescribe antibiotics immediately so your little one starts feeling better fast.

If your child’s test is negative, we routinely send a follow-up throat culture to our reference lab and call you with definitive results when they are available.
