Prime Time Pediatrics is Athens-Oconee’s only walk-in pediatric urgent care dedicated solely to children, so we’ve made rapid COVID-19 testing readily available in our kid-friendly clinic. If your child wakes up with fever, cough, or you need a test for school, just head to our pediatric walk-in clinic—no need to hunt for a separate testing site. How it works:

1. Register online through Fast Pass (primetimepeds.com/fast-pass) or call (706) 705-4543; walk-ins are always welcome as long as availability remains.

2. A pediatric medical assistant will gently collect a small nasal swab. We use the same painless anterior-nares swab used in most kids’ urgent care centers.

3. Results from our CLIA-waived rapid antigen test are ready in about 15 minutes. When recommended, we can also send a PCR swab to the lab.

Because testing is done on-site, you get same-visit guidance from a board-certified pediatrician about isolation, return-to-school timing, or any needed treatment. Most major insurance plans cover the visit; prompt-pay discounts are available for self-pay families.

We’re open Monday–Friday 7:30 am–7 pm, Wednesday until 5 pm, and Saturday 8 am–3 pm, making it easy to fit testing around work and school. Free parking, stroller-friendly ramp, popsicles, and a prize chest keep the experience as stress-free as possible for parents and kids alike.
