Skye Beck, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC, PMHS
Casey (Skye) Beck, MSN, CPNP-PC, PMHS, has been a part of the Prime Time family since early 2020 and has been an integral part of the team ever since. She graduated from Emory University School of Nursing with her Bachelor of Science in nursing and Master of Science in nursing, with a population focus of pediatric primary care. She received an Excellence in Collaboration award and was asked by Emory School of Nursing to serve as the class speaker and give the welcome speech at the Emory School of Nursing Commencement Ceremony in spring 2016.

Skye has worked in the Feeding Program at Marcus Autism Center and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta where she conducted comprehensive medical evaluations on new patients and continuous assessments as indicated for established patients in the Feeding Program. She provided medical oversight and recommendations for patients in the program, served in her PNP role in ongoing research studies, and collaborated with other disciplines and medical specialists during her time in the program.

Skye worked in a Federally Qualified Health Center in rural Georgia for two years as a new graduate, where she gained invaluable experience. Embracing the holistic model of nursing practice, she provided services to low-income, low-socioeconomic status, highrisk patients and families using preventive primary care healthcare services. In this experience, she realized the need for pediatric mental healthcare providers and sought more education, which led her to obtain a board certification as a pediatric mental health specialist. She also attended training on implementing dialectical behavioral therapy in the primary care setting.

Skye also served her local community as an emergency medical technician (EMT) at the intermediate level for six years. She worked part time for emergency medical services (EMS), while completing her Bachelor of Science in psychology at the University of Georgia.. During this time, she took an interest in neuropsychology and studied biochemistry, where she presented her research in toxicology at the Centers for Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Skye enjoys reading, learning, and volunteering at the local animal shelter. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and their 2 children, riding bikes, visiting her home town and grandparents in Savannah, Ga., and fishing. She values evidence-based research and the holistic model for providing healthcare.
